Six Events, Two Weeks, No Nervous Breakdowns
2007 was the inaugural year for the Qld Fair Trade Collective. Early in February, a small collection of small-business owners, volunteers and just plain interested parties began coming together to plan for Fair Trade Fortnight celebrations on an unprecedented scale. Two months of hard work later, we kicked off our Fortnight with the Fair Trade Fair on April 27th, before rollicking through another five events between April 28th-May 13th. By mid May we were dazed, confused and not a little exhilarated.
