Fair Trade High Tea

The Queensland Fair Trade Collective is excited to announce our plans for the Fair Trade Fortnight this year…as something new and very special is being organised, the first Fair Trade High Tea. Featuring international guest speaker, Kohinoor Yeasmin, CEO of Bangladesh Fair Trade organisation Tarango, an ethical fashion showcase and more, this is definitely not an event to be missed. Kohinoor will be speaking on her personal experiences and the positive impact of fair trade on her country and the people in Bangladesh. Join us for a glass of champagne on arrival and enjoy delicious finger food and Fairtrade tea and coffee during this inspirational afternoon. The Fair Trade High Tea will be held at the Arts Centre, overlooking the Brisbane River, St Margaret’s Anglican Girls’ School, Ascot on Saturday 8 May 2010, between 2 and 4pm. '

Guest Speaker – Cameron Neil: The Operations Manager of Fair Trade Australia and New Zealand will speak on fair trade commodities, including coffee and chocolate, and how a small change can make a huge difference worldwide.
